The region around Chennai has served as an important administrative, military, and economic centre for many centuries. Kancheepuram district is situated on the northern East Coast of Tamil Nadu and is adjacent by Chennai city and is bounded in the east by Chengalpattu District, west by Vellore District , south by Thiruvannamalai district, in the north by Thiruvallur district and Chennai district. It lies between 11° 00′ to 12° 00’ North latitudes and 77° 28′ to 78° 50′ East longitudes. The district has a total geographical area of 1704.79 Sq.Kms . Kancheepuram, the temple town is the district headquarters. For administrative reasons, the district has been divided into 2 revenue divisions comprising of 5 taluks with 520 revenue villages. For development reasons, it is divided into 5 development blocks with 274 Village Panchayats.

Day 1: Chennai

On Arrival at Chennai Airport, Proceed for Local Temples visit, Shopping in Chennai. Overnight stay at Chennai.

Day 2: Kanchipuram -Mahabalipuram
